Art on the mountain – a new highlight on the Hochwurzen
Just in time for the start of the 2026 summer season, I had the opportunity to create a new, large-scale mural on the Planai Hochwurzen. The hand-painted artwork was completed in May and is a striking eye-catcher right at the mountain station.
The design was painted directly onto the wall – entirely by hand and using high-quality acrylic paints. The aim was to create a modern work of art that blends harmoniously into the alpine surroundings while simultaneously catching the eye.
Large-scale murals tell stories, create atmosphere, and make places unique. That's precisely what makes murals so special: they are not printed images, but genuine handcrafted works with character.
I am very pleased to have implemented this project together with the Planai Hochwurzen cable cars and thank them for their trust.
